I left Colorado when I was a girl
I felt like I stepped off the edge of the world
In search of adventure
Or anything I could call mine
I found California and I never left
It wasn’t the one place
That I loved the best
But the seasons stopped changing
And somehow I lost track of the time
Now lately I long for the wind and the snow
I don’t know the reason but I’ve got to go to

Colorado
I’ve been away for too long
Colorado
I hope that I still belong
To Colorado

I packed up the car and I started to drive
With every mile I feel more alive
As the colors get greener
The tension just starts to unwind
I really don’t know what I’m hoping to find
You know I would settle for some peace of mind in

Colorado
Is calling my name like a song
Colorado
Is telling me I still belong
To Colorado

I think of the arms that I can’t wait to hold
I think of the faces I’m sure have grown old
I think of the boy who broke my heart in two
Will he know the woman
That I have grown into
I think of the boy who broke my heart in two
Could he be the one that I’m coming home to
I’m coming home – I’m coming home to

Colorado – Colorado
Is calling my name like a song
Colorado
Is telling me I still belong to
Colorado
